Description

USES

  • Privacy hedges or screens (Columns), shade trees (Standard Tree), topiary or shaped trees in formal gardens
  • Noise and windbreaks

HARDINESS ZONES

  • USDA Hardines Zones 9-11
  • Tolerate brief light frost but may suffer leaf drop or dieback in freezing temperatures
  • Can tolerate minimum temperatures of about 30°F to 35°F

 

ROOT SYSTEM

  • Aggressive – Root barriers are often recommended

MEASUREMENTS & SIZES

  • Hedges – Can be maintained as a 4 to 20+ ft tall privacy Hollywood hedge
  • Standard Tree – Can grow 30 to 60 ft tall and 25 to 40 ft wide forming a dense symmetric cannopy

  • Moderate – Water deeply but infrequently once established
